This Privacy Notice explains how The Asher Method ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit our website, join the waitlist, create an account, or use our membership Service.

The data controller is Ashley Godwin, a sole proprietor trading as The Asher Method, 2032 Cold Rocks Way, Lexington, SC 29073, United States. For payment-related processing (checkout, invoicing, tax, subscription management), our reseller Paddle acts as an independent controller of that data — see Paddle's Privacy Notice.

2. What we collect and why

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account data — name, email address, password hash, membership tier. Used to create and secure your account, provide the Service, and communicate with you about it. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Waitlist data — email address, tier interest, source. Used to send membership availability and launch updates. Legal basis: your consent (you can unsubscribe at any time).
Content you submit — messages in the community chat, profile details. Used to operate community features. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Usage and device data — IP address, browser, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interaction events. Used for security, fraud prevention, debugging, and improving the Service. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable service.
Support communications — messages you send us. Used to respond to you and improve support. Legal basis: legitimate interest and, where relevant, performance of a contract.
Marketing preferences — records of consents and unsubscribes. Legal basis: consent and legal obligation.

3. Who we share data with

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:

Merchant of Record — Paddle: for checkout, payment processing, subscription management, invoicing, tax compliance, and fraud prevention.
Hosting and infrastructure providers: for running the website, database, authentication, storage, and email delivery.
Analytics and error monitoring providers: to understand aggregate usage and diagnose bugs.
Professional advisers: accountants and lawyers, where necessary.
Authorities: where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.
